“THE FLOW OF TIME” is an installation for Grand Seiko at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. This installation focuses on "Spring Drive," Grand Seiko's unique mechanism that combines high precision and long-term drive. The room expressed the worldview of Spring Drive, which approaches the essence of time and reaches a new dimension that makes you feel the transition of time. Twelve transparent objects enclosing movement parts are aligned, and an image depicting changes of time is projected behind them. When looking into the object, each twinkling part and the reflected image are merged together, giving the feel of the movement approaching the essence of time. Additionally, the small lights that twinkle in the transparent object quietly imply the existence of the weak electricity generated by the parts. It is an installation as a huge space device that allows you to experience the philosophy of Grand Seiko by looking into it.
