Our Approach to
Cultivating the Future.
TAKT PROJECT is what we call a DESIGN THINK + DO TANK that creates and actualizes new concepts through design. Our intention is to create design as a new intellect that envisions a hypothesis that cannot be reached by logical thinking alone, but rather by taking a bird’s-eye view of the world, by lending an ear to our own voice, and by feeling and creating with our hands. With a unique design theory born from our Self-Driven Research projects, we collaborate daily with a wide range of clients—from startups to global brand, from educational and research institutions to governments—on various projects cultivating the future.

Approach
TAKT PROJECT is what we call a DESIGN THINK + DO TANK, striving to create design as a new intellect. In addition to client projects (Collaborative Projects), we are also working on projects of our own initiative (Self-Driven Research), in which we study concepts of the next generation and propose new possibilities. Finding from the self-driven research greatly informs our client projects, allowing us to comprehend and update the hypothesis and reality in one organized cycle. -
Self-Driven Research
TAKT PROJECT is working on Self-Driven Research. Unlike our client projects, the self-driven research’s theme, process, and presentation to society are entirely our responsibility. Through the design as a new intellect, we practice abductive reasoning (Abduction), which cannot result from purely logical means like deductive and inductive reasoning. Hypotheses are given shape and presented in exhibitions and the like. The variety of feedback received is essential for feeding our research, and it circulates through all of our activities and promotes uniqueness. -
Collaborate
At TAKT PROJECT, our client projects are called Collaborative Projects. In Collaborative Projects, not only answers are hard to obtain, but the problems themselves are usually unclear as well. Put another way, these projects are similar to our Self-Driven Research, and we believe the existence of this research and its finding makes it possible to collaborate with our clients while working toward application in society. Also, in an age where the framework is being updated one after another, it is risky to be bound by conventional design categories, and therefore we are approaching the project by integrating various expression methods from graphical to architectural. -
Evoke
Neither Collaborative Projects nor our Self-Driven Research Projects are pursuing “optimum” deliverables. This is because, in our current age, where frameworks are updated one after another, an issue does not involve new concepts if the correct solution to the problem can be judged immediately. Can the proposed idea create vast ripples around the proposal? Put another way, we place immense value in how much we can inspire (Evoke) society. TAKT PROJECT values our role not only as a supporter of businesses to communicate their intents through design, but also our role in inspiring society. -
Cultivate
The origin of the word culture lies in cultivate. We believe new concepts inspire and thus cultivate the hearts of the people, and new concepts at last become culture by cultivating social frameworks. Logical thinking alone cannot cultivate the spirit. We believe that by addressing the uncertainties of humanity equally, we cultivate the soil for new concepts and grow a culture. All of TAKT PROJECT’s activities are intent on creating this new culture, and we daily engage in various projects to cultivate the soil of society.
